I have completed the design of lab scale coal gasifier and modeled all the parts in ProE. Now the only thing left is assembly of all parts which will be done next week. I also attended a Tech Talk on ”Scorpio - A Techno Commercial Success” .
The speaker were Mr V.Jaganathan, V.P, Mahindra & Mahindra.
The talk was very informative and gave idea about various things related to product design, management, manufacturing
and marketing/launch of Scorpio.

There is a 6 Megawatt (MW) coal gasification demonstration unit operating in India, see the websites below:

Nice to know that you have designed a coal gasifier unit. Can you mail me the basic details of the same at aryan100@yahoo.com? How much is the capacity?

I am going also to model the biomass IGCC in Greece. The project will be completed during my phd thesis. What software have you tried besides ANSYS CFX AND proE. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

@ Dimitris
I actually did theoretical design only as my project was to be completed during my Summer Internship of 50 working days. There is a lot more to be worked upon… I learned Ansys CFX but could not use it for simulating the gasification reaction. You could use CFX or Fluent to simulate all these reactions. There are few papers available on Science Direct which u may find useful.
